On October 2nd, the 2024 Inaugural F3 Dragon Boat Super League Finals were held at the Guipan Lake in Shunfeng Mountain Park, Shunde District, Foshan, celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The finals were divided into three categories: men's 22-person dragon boat, men's 12-person dragon boat, and women's 12-person dragon boat, with a total of 24 teams participating in the competition. Many of these teams have previously won national and international dragon boat championships. Chen Qingchen, the champion of badminton women's doubles at the Paris Olympics, graced the event with her presence, cheering alongside the audience for the "F3" finals.

Are dragon boat races only held during the Dragon Boat Festival? In Foshan, known as the "Hometown of Chinese Dragon Boats" and the first "Chinese Sports City of Lion Dance and Dragon Boat," this is not the case. Taking Jiujiang Town in Nanhai District as an example, dragon boat races start in May and continue through the cool of September, with various competitions held on the eve of National Day each year.

The China Dragon Boat Competition is renowned both domestically and internationally. The "Dragon Boat Drifting" in Diejiao has become a sensation, the Dragon Boat Marathon in Nanzhuang is unique, and the Half-Mountain Dragon Boat racing at Xiqiao Mountain is widely celebrated. According to statistics, Foshan hosts over a thousand dragon boat events annually. This year's F3 Dragon Boat Super League has pioneered a unique super league mechanism, aiming to create the most prestigious dragon boat super league in Foshan.

It is understood that Foshan also uses the F3 event as a platform for participation from all five districts of the city. There are also distinctive themed activities such as the "Dragon Boat Banquet," dragon boat food markets, themed colorful dragon boats, and dragon boat tourism routes, providing citizens and tourists with a "one-stop" cultural and tourism consumption experience that includes eating, watching, appreciating, and playing.

佛山这场龙舟赛吸引巴黎奥运冠军观战

10月2日，佛山市顺德区顺峰山公园桂畔湖举行了2024年第一届F3龙舟超级联赛总决赛，喜迎中华人民共和国成立75周年。本届决赛设有男子组22人龙舟、男子组12人龙舟以及女子组12人龙舟3个组别，共有24支队伍参与比赛。其中不少队伍曾在国家级、国际级龙舟赛事中夺冠。巴黎奥运会羽毛球女双冠军陈清晨亲临现场助阵，与观众一起为“F3”总决赛加油打call。

龙舟赛不都是在端午节举行的吗？在佛山——“中国龙舟之乡”，全国首个“中国龙舟龙狮运动名城”——并非如此。以南海九江为例，龙舟竞渡从五月开始，热闹持续至九月秋凉，每年国庆前夕，还会举行大大小小的比赛。

中国龙舟大奖赛享誉海内外，叠滘“龙船漂移”火爆出圈，南庄龙舟马拉松别具一格，西樵山半山扒龙船盛名远扬……据统计，佛山每年举办各类龙舟赛事超过千场。今年的F3龙舟超级联赛首创独一无二的超级联赛机制，立志打造佛山最高荣誉的龙舟超级联赛。

据了解，佛山还以F3赛事为媒，全市五区共同参与，还有特色鲜明的“龙舟宴”、龙舟美食集市、品牌主题彩龙、龙舟旅游路线等一系列主题活动，为市民游客提供“吃看赏玩一条龙”的文旅消费精彩体验。
